About Crash Academy
Southern California’s Premiere Training Facility
The Crash Academy is a new training facility located centrally between Los Angeles and San Diego in Temecula, California. At the Crash Academy we can host virtually any type of class; however, we specialize in hosting training classes that are geared toward accident investigation and reconstruction.

Diagramming with CrashZone/CrimeZone
Basic / Intermediate Course | October 2-6, 2017 – Temecula, CA

Course Description: This five-day, 40-hour basic/intermediate course discusses the principles and operation of CrashZone/Crime Zone™ software used for illustrating crash and crime scenes. This in-depth, hands-on course will take you through the process of creating scale diagrams of various crash and crime scene scenarios.
Attendees will learn to draw simple to complex diagrams from scene measurements, manual data entry, and total station download files. Instruction is included for creating basic scale diagrams of either collision or crime scenes.
Attendees are required to bring a laptop computer with the most current version of the applicable software installed.
You do not need to own the software prior to attending the training. A link to download a demo version will be provided to registered students prior to the class. Discounts on purchasing the software will be made available during the training.
This course is approved for 40 ACTAR CEUs. This course is approved for IAI Crime Scene Certification Continuing Education/Professional Development Credits for recertification (not application).
CDR Tool Applications for the Insurance Professional
November 1-3, 2017 – Temecula, CA
Instructor: Rusty Haight, Collision Safety Institute
Course Description: A three-day course for the insurance and fleet management industry.
The core course addresses the “how to use the CDR Tool” component with lecture and direct hands-on activities focusing on in-car data retrieval. Examples of claims applications are then offered to illustrate the number and type of claims scenarios in which CDR Tool retrieved data might be used. Finally, data retrieved by those in attendance is used to evaluate how that data might have been useful in the claim s process.
This unique three day core Crash Data Retrieval Tool Applications course has already been offered literally coast-to-coast to insurance professionals working in claims investigation roles with companies both large and small. Universally, a review of the results have demonstrated the value of CDR Tool data when properly applied. Beyond the core training, extended and follow-on support is a part of Collision Safety Institute’s dedication to our end user’s success.
