Sales Tax for Orders and Invoices

Currently, Crash Data Group is required to charge sales tax in the following states:

  •  Arizona
  • California
  • Florida
  • Georgia
  • Illinois
  • Indiana
  • Kentucky
  • Louisiana
  • Maryland
  • Massachusetts
  • Michigan
  • Missouri
  • New Jersey
  • New Mexico
  • North Carolina
  • Ohio
  • Pennsylvania
  • Texas
  • Virginia
  • Washington State

If you are placing an order from one of the states listed above, sales tax will be added automatically to your order. Sales tax is automatically calculated by sales tax software and can't be changed. Sales tax is based on the customers state address.

If your state is NOT listed on the above list, you will not be charged sales tax on your order. Please note, this could change without notice. We will update this web page if additional states are added.

Tax Exemption for Purchase Orders

If you are tax exempt and hold a valid tax exempt certificate, you will need to email that certificate to crash@crashdatagroup.com before Crash Data Group can issue a formal quote for a purchase order.

Tax Exemption for Online Orders

If you are tax exempt and hold a valid exempt certificate, you will need to have your Crash Data Group online account created/updated PRIOR to placing a tax exempt online order.

  1. Create an Account on www.crashdatagroup.com
    1. Go to www.crashdatagroup.com
    2. Click the person icon in the top right corner of the page
    3. Fill out the form and submit
    4. You will receive an email to activate your account
    5. When you receive the email, click the link to activate the account
  2. When you have activated your account, email your Tax Exemption Letter to crash@crashdatagroup.com
  3. When we receive your email, we will update your account to “tax exempt”. We will email you stating you are tax exempt and all orders placed by this account will be tax exempt. Please note, you will need to log in to your account BEFORE placing any order.
  4. To log in to your account, simply click the same “person icon” as above and that will direct you to the log in page (if you are not already logged in).
